Quick Visit to Covent Gardens

We took a quick nap and then set out for Covent Garden. Turns out that to get there the quickest route was down Montague Place, IMG 0921 which for those of you who don’t know is Ali’s home town in PEI so we felt right at home off the bat. We stopped in at a few clothing stores for Ali, a few pubs for me and this place for George IMG 0923. We went for a quick bite and then managed to haul George away after promising him we’d go back at least once moreIMG 0924. Lisa, Ali got no end of looks and compliments on the funky hat you gave her everyone loved it from a homeless lady to our waiter.

Arrived in London

Just a quick note to say we’ve arrived safe and sound in London and checked into the Hotel Russell, a great big Victorian place built in 1900. We took the train from Heathrow to Paddington planning to change there for a train to Russell Square. Unfortunately they found a “suspicious package” at a station on the line we needed and shut it down. Anyway this led to Ali’s first ride in one of those fantastic London cabs. Not sure why they haven’t caught on anywhere else. We’re going to unpack and take an orientation tour. Best to you all and thanks for your good wishes.
