We’ve been in Santorini since Saturday and everything has been perfect so far; we’ve been sailing around the caldera (the volcano), to a 60th birthday party in an authentic Greek taverna complete with belly dancer and baglamas music, swum out to an island church and watched the sunset from the most perfect patio on the planet. However we’re NOT going to update you on these today as our mothers would kill us if we didn’t get right to the big event of our trip. Our wedding…
We were married yesterday evening on a terrace overlooking the sea. I’m sure we’ll have a chance to share more pictures, video, etc., with all of you but for now here’s a taste compliments of our friend Antonio who snapped these impromptu shots. I only hope the ‘official’ photos turn out half as well. As I’m sure the pictures will attest the day was perfect, the bride was gorgeous and everything went exactly as we had hoped.

Iam so very happy for the two of you! You are both awesome individuals - but together you compliment eachother in a way that is truly unique - and only a few of us are lucky enough to share! First order of the day - of course - looking at the blog and seeing your charming pictures. So now I’m back to look at them (and your happy faces) once again; couldn’t resist it.
Aunt Joop and Uncle Rob called yesterday as did Harriet to congratulate us old folks. Aunt Lynn and Uncle Andre sent e-mail and Diane Hewitt called to wish us the same. J&R went off to Vienna early this morning.
Dad’s flight was delayed some 3 hours; poor guy must have spent some 12 hours at Amsterdam airport. He should be home soon.

Congrats guys! My wife Sue and I honeymoon’d in Greece back in2001, and we loved our stay in Santorini. We stayed at the Honeymoon Villas, and the owner took us and a few other couples on a tour of the island on his sailboat, so I agree, well worth it! The sunsets were truly amazing, and the hospitality superb. Gotta love the busrides though; pretty narrow windy roads at high speeds! Well, take care, and again, congratulations!!!
